If you are looking for financial assistance to help with your tuition costs, the ALA has a variety of scholarships ranging from $1,500 to $7,000 per student per year!
Applicants must attend an ALA accredited program in library science or a school library media program at the master’s degree level. Applicants from school library media must attend a program that meets ALA curriculum guidelines for the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP).
The scholarships include the following: students who are interested in Children’s Librarianship, Youth Librarianship, Federal Librarianship, new media and Library Automation. In addition, the ALA offers scholarships for underrepresented groups and library support staff.
